Remember if you want to be on our substitutes list please visit our "Substitutes Link" on the top left hand corner. Please mail your check and form to the appropriate address listed on the form.
We will also be doing a lunch for the hygiene students at the Baton Rouge location of the LSDSD on Friday, September 25. We would like as many members as possible to attend to show support to these students. Last year was a success. However, we would like to make this year even better!
In October, we will be participating in a community service project that we want everyone to be a part of. All you have to do is bring oral hygiene aids, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, MI Paste or Prevident to our September and October meetings. Cash/Check donations will also be accepted. We will use these donations to buy more dental hygiene products to add to our supply. BRDHA will be adopting a local group that will benefit from these donations, such as the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. This is one of the easiest ways for us to reach out to our community and show them we care. We hope that everyone can participate.

Just a reminder to all Fellow Hygienist:
Dental hygienists in many states are facing a professional crisis. Legislative and regulatory
tactics that allow preceptorship or dental assistants to perform dental hygiene functions,
such as supragingival scaling, are threatening the value of the RDH credential and the
future of the dental hygiene profession.
The American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the largest professional organization
representing the interests of dental hygienists, has been working with state dental hygiene
organizations to fight these threats, but we need your help. Only by uniting and working
together can the dental hygiene profession speak with one strong voice to protect the
scope of practice and professional status you have worked so hard to achieve.
How can you afford not to become a member of ADHA? As a member, you will have the
opportunity to make a difference by participating in association decision making about the future of dental hygiene. The tangible benefits alone, make joining ADHA an unbeatable
value. Your membership is your insurance for a rewarding career in dental hygiene. But
even more important, your membership dues will help us protect your livelihood and professional status. Members enjoy professional support, access to information, educational programs, and
numerous opportunities to participate in association decision making and leadership.
I invite you to become a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.
I look forward to welcoming you to ADHA , Louisiana Dental Hygienists' Association and to the Baton Rouge Dental Hygienists' Association
